Glasgow film festival

Hey hey hey!
In my latest post I talked you a little about Sherlock Holmes and his Scottish origins. Following that it is high time we pay attention to this years's Glasgow film festival. Mostly happening in this very building,
this festival is known for celebrating the entire spectrum of cinema-going experiences, from star-studded, mainstream crowdpleasers, to groundbreaking art house experimentation.
Seriously, as I looked at the programme , Glasgow film festival is like heaven of film. So much to choose from that you cannot make a decision! You have international cinema, emerging talents and all time classics like Singing in the rain.
Glasgow Film Festival is the fastest growing Film Festival in the
UK and aims  promote the city as a national and international centre for the arts. And it is working!

This years festival had over 187 events to chose from. What is more, it was its 10th birhday. The grand opening was with Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Also, 2014’s diverse and relevant focus strands include Cinechile, exploring the resurgence of film-making in Chile, Cats Go Miaow, ideal for gamers who love their movies and 1939: Hooray for Hollywood, showcasing Hollywood’s golden year. Each of the Best Picture Oscar nominations from 1939 was screened during the festival, including Gone with the Wind, Stagecoach, Of Mice and Men and Mr Smith Goes to Washington.
This is the finest year for Glasgow film festival. But its scale is becoming bigger and bigger every year. So beware for 2015!
